JASA is an independent production company making commissioned and original films across documentary and fiction, combining close observation with an authorial point of view.
Founder / Director
Alessio
Pizzicannella
Alessio began his career in London photographing the international music scene for NME. His work has appeared in Vanity Fair, The Times, Rolling Stone, The Guardian and The Observer, alongside collaborations with the world’s major record labels.
Alongside his career in photography, Alessio has published two novels and written and directed fiction and documentary films. This experience across photography, literature and cinema shapes JASA’s approach to image, narrative and rhythm, with a close attention to human stories, atmosphere and place.
