JASA is an independent film production company based in Locarno, Switzerland.
Documentary-led films about people, places and culture.
JASA makes commissioned and original films, bringing an authorial sensibility to documentary, fiction and selected collaborations.
The work moves between intimate observation and cinematic storytelling, from the first idea to the finished film.
Founder / Director
Alessio
Pizzicannella
Alessio began his career in London photographing the international music scene for NME. His work has appeared in Vanity Fair, The Times, Rolling Stone, The Guardian and The Observer, alongside collaborations with the world’s major record labels.
His photography and filmmaking share a close attention to human stories, atmosphere and place. This experience shapes the approach behind JASA Productions.
